In this most challenging of years - YOUR Coral Gables Community Foundation stepped up to make a difference for those who live, learn, work and play in Coral Gables. Thanks to our Fund Holders, Merrick Society Members and our Board of Directors – we have been empowered to provide support when our neighbors needed it most. As 2020 (finally!) comes to a close, we are proud of our successes this year and wish you Good Giving!
Serving over 10,000 meals daily for 8 weeks to home-bound seniors and out-of-work individuals. Working with the South Florida Digital Alliance, we donated computers to those who needed them for home schooling and working from home.
Launching the Restaurants Rally initiative. The Foundation awarded $100,000 to locally owned restaurants that have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and related closures. These grants, in addition to providing support to local restaurants, are in turn providing gift certificates to those who would enjoy a meal at a favorite Gables restaurant.
Awarding grants to more than 60 deserving non-profit organizations with an impact in Coral Gables. 
Managing 13 scholarship programs and awarding over $150,000 in college scholarships to deserving and financially disadvantaged students from Coral Gables High School.
Celebrating the trailblazing and socially compliant, L’Art de Recevoir – our at-home fundraiser in over 30 homes and gardens across the City. 
In partnership with the Coral Gables Fire Department, the Foundation's tradition of delivering Christmas trees to our neighbors in Golden Gate and MacFarlane Homestead continued...with masks!

Become a Merrick Society Member
Creating a philanthropic legacy while engaging and improving our community, the three-year commitment made by Merrick Society donors is a vital part of the Foundation's work. Merrick Society donors are invited to the annual benefactor reception and other special invitation-only Foundation functions throughout the year and become a member of a distinguished group comprised of long-time Coral Gables leaders. Members are recognized by name throughout the year in the Foundation’s monthly newsletters, website and marketing materials. They also receive a lapel pin and windshield sticker in recognition of their participation and vision as well as invitations to exclusive donor events. Join today!
