Buford O’Sullivan is a trombonist and composer who has performed world-wide since the 1980’s. In the 1990’s, Buford toured the 3rd wave ska craze extensively with The Scofflaws and The Toasters, traveling all across the USA, Canada, Europe, and South America. The Scofflaws second release 'Ska in Hi Fi' featured several of his songs, including 'William Shatner' and 'Nude Beach' for which a video was made and aired on MTV. After the millennium, he joined The Easy Star All-Stars, recorded incredible tributes, and toured the world! He has also worked with Antibalas Afrobeat Orchestra, Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry, Dave Hillyard and the Rock Steady Seven, The Brooklyn Attractors, and Dub is a Weapon. He continues to be the stand-in for Vin Gordon in the trombone chair for 'The Skatalites Band'. Buford's latest solo album “Stolen Soul” is a project that attempts to digitize the human soul. Using the wonders of 21st century technology, all of the anguish and sacrifice that goes into the human act of making music have been beatmaped and sampled to provide an album’s worth of listening enjoyment!” All songs written, produced, and performed by Buford himself, it’s a wonderful selection of 13 tracks that range from jazzy roots reggae, scorching ska, dub, early/skinhead reggae and modern 2-Tone – mostly instrumental but Buford belts out on some songs too!

The Fuss is a dynamic ska and rocksteady band from Washington, D.C. Their sound pays tribute to the music of 1960’s Jamaica and the British Mod scene, while putting modern slant on the timeless styles. The group showcases 3-part female harmonies and a 3-piece horn section. Their debut album “Ourselves” (2018) put the band on the international map, followed by appearances on top collections including Specialized “Check One-Two” and Ska Brewing’s “Drink The Ska”. On this brand new full length “In Person”, the band digs deeper, jazz progressions infuse traditional ska and rocksteady, with just a hint of two-tone and psychedelia. Over these dozen songs the message is thoughtful and provocative, sad and joyful as they explore the post-lockdown human condition. Produced by Jayson Nugent (aka Agent Jay) of The Slackers and features guest appearances by members of Eastern Standard Time.

Originally formed in 2010 by Ali Culotta and Danny Portilla, Stop The Presses has come a long way since their early days in Miami. The band deliver an incredible mix of traditional ska & reggae with pop hooks - new wave style and punk rock attitude with a splash of British 2-Tone. In 2019, they released “Money in the Bank”, produced by Agent Jay and featuring Dave Hillyard of The Slackers. This album quickly put the band on the international map with it's a retro 80s sensibility and modern edge that won over ska fans of all types! In 2022 the band recorded their second full length "Got It" right before heading out on an extensive US tour including an official SXSW showcase and a return performance at Supernova. This new album was entirely recorded in Brooklyn, mixed once again by AGENT JAY at STABBY ROAD. Eight tracks that prove how exciting and diverse a modern traditional ska band can be! Includes a fantastic cover of Bikini Kill's "Rebel Girl"! As Agent Jay describes them: “A live natural feel, but a big sound with detailed arrangements.”

We are CRAZY psyched to stock one of our all time faves from the late 80s UK ska explosion – MAROON TOWN’s debut album “HIGH & DRY” from 1990, produced by John Bradbury of THE SPECIALS for Staccato Records. In late 1980s England, Ska wasn’t quite in fashion as it had been earlier in the decade, the advent of rap, hip-hop, and underground/indie dance music ruled the airwaves and charts. This did not stop the multiracial, multi-culti band MAROON TOWN, named after clandestine villages set up by anti-British rebels in occupied Jamaica. Rooted in the hybrid formula of Two-Tone, “High and Dry” was an immediate success with it’s thrilling and diverse collection of fresh sounds blending rap, funky groove, and acid jazz – as well as just being downright fun! The horn section is pure fire and the foundation ska rhythm is so tight it’s hypnotic! “High and Dry ” is a must have, exciting debut record, and MAROON TOWN continue to this day, and are a popular concert draw all across Europe. | |

THE MAGNETICS are an Italian band formed in 2017 and led by Olly Riva, their sound mixes original Ska, early Reggae, Jamaican music, and Rocksteady filtered through a "vintage" soul rhythm n' blues vibe. The band's first album “JAMAICAN SKA” (2017) was nominated for 'Record of the Year' by many SKA webzines and radio stations around the world. Fast forward to August and November of 2020, the band releases "Cocktails & Fairy Tales" Vol 1 & 2, both collected here on limited edition yellow vinyl, 300 copies. The album is a wonderful mix of songs about drinks from around the world! Booze! Cocktails! Scorching surf 60s ska, crooner big band vocals, Cuban-Jamaican mambo reggae and so much more! If you're looking for the quintessential Orange County ska-punk sound, look no further than THE STEP DAUGHTERS! A catch mix of 90's Hellcat style punky street ska, equal parts British 2-Tone and American punk. Formed in early 2019 by scene veterans Eric Vedder (bass) and Jeremy Sandoval (guitar) alongside frontwoman Erin Smith-Norrick, Timothy Calacsan (keys), Kevin Erney (drums), and Colin Darby (sax) - don’t let their short time on the scene fool you, this group is comprised of all experienced musicians and have been linked to a handful of great acts at one time or another! Fan favorites like their cover of “Fat Randy” and the original “Over It” have been featured on compilations like “Puro Desmadre” (Voodoo Glowskulls Tribute) and on SMELVIS RECORDS "SKALLOWEEN 2020"! Soon the band caught the ear of SKA PUNK DAILY and were featured on the groundbreaking California ska-punk collection "TOO HECTIC" in the summer of 2021.
