WRFI's 30th Anniversary Celebration is Almost Here!

Join Us July 26-29th in Missoula!

Next month, we’ll gather in Missoula to celebrate 30 years of WRFI! Join us for any or all of the weekend activities. On Friday, July 26th, we'll gather at a local brewery (TBA) to reconnect and swap stories. On Saturday, July 27th, you can gather for an informal float of the Clark Fork River. Bring your innertube, kayak, stand-up paddle board or any other craft of your choice! Finish at the takeout at Silver Park for a WRFI-hosted BBQ from 4-8pm. On Sunday, July 28th, you’ll have the option of joining other WRFI folks on private guided whitewater or flat water rafting trips, fishing opportunities, or a cycling tour of downtown. Our anniversary celebration will culminate Sunday evening with presentations from students returning from Conservation Across Boundaries. Following the presentations, WRFI will throw a cocktail party with hearty appetizers, drinks, and a final celebration. We can’t wait to see you there!

We have several lodging and activity options available for the weekend. Follow the link below to help plan your trip, or respond to this email with any questions you have.

Southwest Climate Studio Art, WRFI's newest course, recently wrapped up in New Mexico. We at WRFI are so thankful for a great group of students, two wonderful instructors - Nina Elder and Kerri Rosenstein - and our office staff who all helped this course be a great success in its first year. It's such a joy to hear the stories and see the photos from the field. We are excited to share blogs from the students who joined us. First up is Madi Mulick, who shares a moving tale of a mysterious flower blooming in the desert, and her and the other students' efforts to hunt it down. It's a beautiful story of wonder and connection. Follow the link above to read it in full!

If you want to join us this year, you’re in luck! There’s still about a month left to register for Environmental Ethics. We recommend you don’t delay, though, so we can help you be as prepared as possible for your excursion!
