Happy Fall, Ya'll!

As we move into the season of thanks, it has been remarkable to look back and be reminded of the goodness of God through our community this past quarter.

June had us hoppin'!

We hosted a new event for us, a talk about Narcissism. 20 women joined us for information and an opportunity to ask questions. We truly appreciated Holly Lanker and Elizabeth Parker of My Life Counsel for sharing their expertise and evening with us.

We also attended Marion County's 2nd Annual PTSD Awareness Walk and shared Reboot Recovery resources...we love Trauma Reboot!

We celebrated 2 graduations: one for 2 residents and one for a group of 7 from another Trauma Reboot class.

June and July had us welcoming both new board members and staff members. As we plan for the future, we are considering the passion, skills, and thinking needed.

Welcome to:

Trey Arnett, PE--Board Member

Lilly Gaj, RN--Board Member and Director of Operations

Holly Jones, Office Assistant

Cynthia Biggs, Community Care Coordinator and Codependency Expert!

August was EXCITING!

We welcomed The Rooms Living for a healing night of worship and the room was packed! Jesus was in the room. Read our blog about that HERE.

We also hosted our Give4Marion orientation, it was a Tea Party! 40 women gathered to hear about our mission, future plans, and how they could help. Hopefully you saw our emails about the campaign, we ended up raising $60,250!

We welcomed our sweet Program Director, Amber Pharand, back from her very unexpected open heart surgery. We missed her so much and counted down the days until she returned.

And today we are celebrating this young woman in our transition phase because she completed the first part of her Phlebotomy Certification while working full-time! She researched, paid for, and made it happen all on her own and we are so proud of her.

And how can we forget our September of hurricanes!

Cynthia and Amber worked with our girls on step work at our beautiful picnic tables. It was time to completely let the "winds of anxiety" from all that upheaval blow away in the beautiful breezes outside.

With anxieties higher than usual, we also increase our tools to help them cope. We've added a number of sensory objects for play, stress relief, and comfort. Our trauma-informed practices continue to grow and evolve.

This is exciting also. To add further value to what we offer, we've added a page of resources to our website. All kinds of local and surrounding areas of help can be found there so be sure and check it out: Resources

We are passionate about helping women heal physically, emotionally, and spiritually and we have an AMAZING opportunity coming November 16th! Join us as we seek the Lord to help us release stress and lingering effects of trauma in our bodies. This was a very healing time together last year and I’m believing God for another. The instructor, Carol, is a retired nurse and works with our residents every week and she specializes in creating healing spaces in which the Spirit can move. Notice the Grief and Creative Workshop pieces this year! Please contact Carol directly to sign up. See the flyer below. Space is filling!
