🌟A Friendly Reminder as the New Year Approaches

As we wrap up 2025 and look ahead to a brand-new year, we want to take a moment to remind you about a few important things related to your insurance and therapy coverage.

Understanding Deductibles

It’s important to keep in mind that most insurance plans reset at the start of the new year, which means your deductible may begin again on January 1st.

Calendar Year Plans reset every January 1st and end December 31st — this is the most common type.
Contract Year Plans begin and end on a date specific to your coverage start date, which can vary by plan.

Your deductible is the amount you pay for covered services before your insurance begins to contribute. Once your deductible is met, you typically pay a copay or coinsurance, and your plan covers the rest.

If speech or occupational therapy charges apply toward your deductible, you might notice higher out-of-pocket costs at the beginning of the year. Checking your plan now can help you prepare and avoid surprises in January.

A Note About Our 2025 Rates

At Sunbreak Therapy Services, we’re committed to providing high-quality care and maintaining the warm, supportive environment our families and clients count on. To continue meeting this standard while managing the rising costs of operations, we’ll be implementing a modest rate adjustment of approximately 5% beginning in January 2026.

This change will only apply to self-pay clients and to services not covered by insurance. If your sessions are billed through insurance and covered under your plan, this adjustment will not affect you.

We understand that any change in pricing can raise questions, and we want to assure you that this adjustment helps us continue offering the exceptional level of therapy and individualized care you deserve.

We’re thrilled to share some great new — Sunbreak Therapy Services has welcomed new Speech-Language Pathologists to our team! With these wonderful additions, we’ve been able to reduce our waitlist for speech therapy and open up more opportunities to serve our community.

🦃 Holiday Hours Reminder

In celebration of Thanksgiving, Sunbreak Therapy Services will be closed on Thursday, November 27th, and Friday, November 28th.

We hope you enjoy this special time with family and friends! Regular therapy sessions will resume on Monday, December 1st.
