With your support, not only did we exceed our fundraising goal, but we raised more this year than ever before for our mission to honor Veterans and restore lives.
$33,700 RAISED IN 2021!!!
A few highlights of the night: deserving Veteran received the gift of transportation thanks to our good friends at Cars 4 Heroes and Galen's Auto Body; guests contributed to the launch of our community building mural project with help from Wildys World; and we've surpassed $100,000 in funds raised since the annual Charity Picnic began 4 years ago!
Whether you attended the event in person, stopped by the drive thru, or participated in the online auction, you helped make the event so very impactful. For that we are so grateful! We've served more than 1,200 Veterans and family members since Welcome Home's new campus opened, and we look forward to the opportunity to serve thousands of more deserving Veterans and their families with shelter, permanent housing, employment assistance, and many other supportive, wrap-around services. |

CELEBRATING 4 YEARS ON THE NEW CAMPUS! |
Hard to believe it's been 4 years since we moved our first group of Veterans into the 'new' Welcome Home shelter, including a father and son who transitioned out of homelessness in our very first family room.
It's a moment in our history that we'll never forget. Our gratitude runs deep to those who helped fund, design, and build the new building and continue to make our mission possible four years later - our passionate staff, dedicated Board members, generous donors, fantastic volunteers, and our beloved community!

Like so many of you, we love our time together at special events, raising critical funding for Welcome Home, rallying behind our Veterans, and coming together for such a worthy cause.

DONATE YOUR SCHNUCK'S REWARDS TO HELP END VETERAN HOMELESSNESS
Donate Your Schnuck's Rewards program enables customers to choose the option to donate their Schnuck's Rewards Points to Welcome Home using their Schnuck's Rewards app or on the Schnuck's website. Once donated, Rewards Points will translate to a monetary donation, right back to supporting our Veterans!

EMPLOYMENT CHANGES EVERYTHING |
|
We opened our arms to Army Veteran, "C", after he fell on hard times and had no where else to turn. "C" moved into our shelter, and very quickly enrolled in our VETS Work program to begin exploring employment opportunities. Within just a few days he was given assistance with his resume, job readiness training, a fresh haircut, professional clothing, and transportation to various businesses. Because of his hard work and motivation, as well as guidance and advocacy from our staff, "C" landed his full-time, dream job in just 28 days after entering services! Fantastic, right? Congratulations to another deserving Veteran we are honored to serve, and thank YOU for helping make it possible!

Excited to announce Welcome Home is a proud Homeless Veterans' Reintegration Program partner and funding recipient! This is a huge opportunity for us to serve even more unemployed and underemployed Veterans through our VETS Work program in partnership with the Department of Labor and MO Job Center.
|
With more than 150 employers in our rolodex and support from our VETS Work Champions, we are motivated every single day to connect qualified Veterans with meaningful employment!
