Our Assistant Director, Chris Cady-Jones, helped coordinate some volunteer help to spruce up our landscaping at Holy Family. Let us know if you would like to help out with more planting or maintenance. volunteers@svdpomaha.com
We could use a few more volunteers at our Pantry Garden. Let us know if you can help !
PANTRY
Thank you for the overwhelming response from our parishes and other groups who have done pantry food drives and collections! This is part of what St. Wenceslaus brought down.

We do have to ask that if you do a food drive, let us know so we can plan a good drop off day and time.

We would still love to find more parishes that have freezer storage space near the pantry at 21st & Leavenworth. Please contact us if you can help.

Pantry hours: Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00am - 12:30pm

GARDENS
We had a special visitor in the Churchyard garden this week! Sprouts are up, larger beds are tilled, water is working, and things are looking great!
HOLY FAMILY
Volunteers are continuing to make 250-300 lunches per day. Half are given out at our door and half are driven to locations along the 24th street corridor from north Omaha to south Omaha.

We may need a few more volunteers to help with set up.
Please contact us if you can help. volunteers@svdpomaha.com

We are still looking for someone to make masks that we could hand out to our most vulnerable neighbors.

CONFERENCES
A big “Thank You” goes out to our St. Matthew church family in Bellevue! The joint St. Matthew Knights of Columbus and SVdP conference held a Food Pantry Drive on Sunday, April 26th to benefit the Society of St. Vincent de Paul on Leavenworth. In only 2 hours, the effort collected 1,600lbs in food and hygiene items and $3,000 in cash, checks and gift cards. Also, thank you to the all of the volunteers at the main SVdP Food Pantry for offloading the 2 truckloads of donations. Kudos to all volunteers for your selfless devotion of time and energy to help those who are in need!
