Heather was born and raised in Rockford. Graduated from Rockford in 1995. She is a proud wife to husband Kelly of 22 years and mother of three children: Taylor (18), Shelby (14) and Trey (10). Thousand Hearts 365 is a ‘spin off’ of the annual Thousand Hearts Crow River Serve Day and exists to provide volunteers who address community needs

throughout the year.

Please consider one or more of these choices:

 Do you like to garden? Join a group of dedicated volunteers who help maintain the beautiful grounds at the Ames-Florida Stork House in Rockford throughout the growing season. This project is family friendly and can fit your own schedule; partnering with friends is fun too! Choosing a specific area to own and maintain is a great way to help. Contact [email protected]

 Elmwood Cemetery in Rockford is a Signature Project for Thousand Hearts Crow River Serve Day each year. Last Spring, over fifty volunteers worked to uncover sunken grave markers and perform general grounds clean up. This Fall, we would like to repeat this and make even more of a difference.  Join a group of Thousand Hearts 365 Volunteers as they return to Rockford Elementary Arts Magnet School (REAMS) to volunteer as ‘Reading Buddies’ in kindergarten, first and third grades. We will be expanding to other grades and subjects as we grow. You will be working with kids who benefit greatly from one-to-one attention. The program will begin the first week of October. This is a once weekly commitment; however we are recruiting subs/floaters to help accommodate all schedules. Some quotes from volunteers: “I am so thankful I got a chance to volunteer with kids”. “This is one of my all-time

Each week Dimensions Wellness will hold a different class focusing on various forms of wellness and health!

I would also like to mention that I give essential oils classes, so, if you gather 3-5 friends and would like me to give a class in your home, I would love to do that!

There will be door prizes! Lots of free smells and some sampling! I find the best night is Tuesday starting around 7 and ending about 8 or 8:30. If you want me to hold the class in my home I can do that too! I love to talk about oils!  Just email [email protected] with your interests and your best date!

I have a make and take kit but that would cost $12.50 each for 5 people, let me know if you are interested. It includes making Lip balm, lotion and a spritzer. It comes with all the material to DIY! Just email [email protected] with your interests and your best date!

Raffle Quilt Wins Grand Prize!

T he RAHS quilt to be raffled off at River Days won Grand Prize this year at the Wright County Fair! Congratulations to all who participated in making the quilt!

The pattern this year is "Amish with a Twist", and the quilt is king-sized. Colors are deep purple with pinks, blues, greens, and other complimentary colors.

Raffle tickets ($5) are available at local Rockford, MN businesses or at Rockford River Days Aug. 11-12. The winning ticket will be drawn Sunday evening at the Ambassador coronation. Need not be present to win.
