Make a Difference Today

Dear Hoboken,

We are pleased to announce that The Hoboken Public Library Friends & Foundation is hosting a book drive to support some of the library's initiatives, such as Museum Passes, Family Fun Day, and Community Care Kits!

As we strive to provide enriching experiences for our patrons, we are asking for donations of gently used books of all genres. Children’s books are especially appreciated. Donations will be accepted until September 30. In addition, The Hoboken Public Library Friends & Foundation is hosting a Donation Day on Wednesday, July 26. Stop by Shake Shack at 111 Washington Street between 10:30 AM and 10:30 PM to support your local library! Show this flyer or use the code DONATE 2023 on the Shake Shack App when checking out and 25% of your total meal purchase will be donated to the Hoboken Public Library Friends & Foundation.

We also want to remind you that the library offers free Museum Passes to Hoboken residents! These passes give everyone the chance to get immersed in the captivating realms of art, science, history, and more. Don't miss out on this wonderful opportunity to connect and experience the cultural treasures of our area alongside your friends and family. From art museums to historical sites and everything in between, the possibilities are endless.

By donating, you are supporting our commitment to fostering a love of learning and exploration within our community. It is through your generosity, passion, and unwavering support that we can continue to make Hoboken a better place, one book at a time.

Regards,

Jennie Pu

The Shark Club: A Novel

by Ann Kidd Taylor

"On a summer day on the Gulf of Mexico in 1988, two extraordinary things happen to twelve-year-old Maeve Donnelly. First, she is kissed by Daniel, the boy of her dreams. Then, she is attacked by a blacktip shark. Eighteen years later, Maeve is a world-traveling marine biologist studying and swimming with the very animals that once threatened her life. Known among her peers as the "shark whisperer," Maeve is fearless in the water. On land, however, Maeve is dogged by unresolved wounds and indecisive about the path her life will take. Will she confront her feelings about her brother's betrayal--and forgive her childhood sweetheart? Or will she dive headlong back into her research and open her heart to Nicholas, her handsome colleague who shares her passion for the ocean?"
