Charity Wristband Voting
As a way to involve local residents and help support other community organizations, Wilmington Downtown Incorporated (WDI) partners with area nonprofits to split the proceeds from wristbands sold each week during the Downtown Sundown Concert series. To help select charities to participate in the upcoming concert season, WDI is asking for community input to help pick the groups.

After publicizing the wristband program to area charities, WDI received forty-two applications for 15 possible dates. To select the final groups, WDI is hosting a vote for area residents to select their favorite charity. The nine organizations with the most votes will be automatically selected to sell wristbands. The remaining organizations will be selected by a review committee.

Use this link to cast your vote.   Voting ends on Wed, March 22 at 5PM.

#SpreadtheWilm

Why do you love Wilmington and our beaches? Residents and business owners can be the best cheerleaders and promoters of a destination when they spread the word to family, friends and visitors about what a great place it is to live, work and play.

The Wilmington and Beaches Convention and Visitors Bureau recently launched a community-wide campaign designed to assist in spreading the word and to celebrate the impact of travel and tourism on the local economy and in the community, businesses and personal lives of the residents. It also targets visitors while in the area so they can share and reflect on their travel experiences through social media. To learn more about the #SpreadtheWilm campaign, visit www.wilmingtonandbeaches.com/spreadthewilm

Bring it Downtown

bringitdowntownlogo The Bring It! Downtown Marketing Campaign was created to help market and rebrand downtown Wilmington and to define a universal image for downtown that all businesses can embrace and utilize to create a unified message.

Ultimately, the campaign's goal is to encourage locals and visitors to spend more time in historic downtown Wilmington through branding and education.  By educating people on the ease and abundance of parking and the many options for entertainment, we can convince people to make downtown their destination.  Watch a Video.
