Save the Date: Sonoma Ready Day!

The County of Sonoma has created a space where you can learn about different topics related to emergency response and preparedness from experts, all in one place.

Sonoma Ready Day will offer emergency resources, demonstrations, short lectures, emergency vehicle displays, and tools to educate and empower you to withstand and recover from emergencies.

Join us on Sunday, September 8, 2019 from 10am – 3pm at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds. Admission and parking are free.

This will be a bilingual event. ¡Invita a tus amigos y familiares que hablan español!

Although this decision is beyond the County of Sonoma’s control, we highly encourage preparation in response to this event.

Upcoming Events
Wildfire Home Hardening Workshop
Learn how to make your home resilient against wildfire during this hands-on workshop:
  • Receive expert instruction on how to "harden" your home against the next wildfire.
  • Take a tour of a typical home in Sonoma County's Wildland Urban Interface (W.U.I.), with all of its classic issues.
  • Get hands-on experience correcting those issues.

The workshop will take place August 17, from 10am to 4pm, in Sebastopol. Learn more and register here.

Audubon Canyon Ranch is collaborating with the County of Sonoma, Good Fire Alliance, local fire protection districts and UC Cooperative Extension to put on this workshop.
Fair Time is Fun Time!
August 1-11

Come out and support local youth showing and selling their livestock at the  Junior Livestock Auction  and see their exhibits throughout the fair - in the flower buildings and in the exhibit buildings.

Visit the Master Gardeners in the Flower Building Annex with their annual demo garden, this time featuring edible landscaping. 

Master Gardeners are at their demo garden from 11am to 5pm throughout the fair. New this year, they are giving workshops throughout the day on both weekends. Find schedule of workshops here.
