Louisville-based artist Mark Priest uses his work to uncover and retell powerful and poignant narratives surrounding slavery, especially the stories of freedom seekers. See Priest’s exhibit, “The Underground Railroad: The Still Family & Charles Nalle” on display at the Carnegie Center for Art & History in New Albany through November 11.

Grab your best sneakers and head to Sam Peden Community Park in New Albany for the 3rd Annual Be a Blessing 5K & 1M Fun Run on Saturday, November 4. This community-wide, family friendly event raises funds to alleviate childhood hunger in Floyd County.

Celebrate the lives of loved ones who have passed at the City of New Albany Parks and Recreation's Día de los Muertos: Day of the Dead event on Saturday, November 4. Head to Silver Street Park for plenty of performances and family-friendly activities, plus enjoy food from La Catrina Mexican Kitchen.

Travel to Origin Park on November 4 for This Land Speaks and Native American Talking Circle – a two-part, two-hour talk and ceremony with Rev. CJ Wright (Awahili Gawoni-Cherokee) to engage with the Indigenous stories of the land. The event is free, but donations to Origin Park are encouraged. Space is limited.

Spend the afternoon celebrating Wine Shop’s one-year anniversary at their Taste the Shop Anniversary Party on Saturday, November 4 in downtown New Albany. Ticketholders will go on a guided tasting journey of 20 wines, highlighting the owners’ favorite producers and regions.

Join the Falls of the Ohio Foundation on Sunday, November 5 to make Gyotaku - Japanese Fish Prints at Falls of the Ohio State Park! This technique was developed in the mid-1800s so fishermen could record their fish on rice paper. Program is free thanks to the foundation.

Get in the holiday spirit with a performance of “A Christmas Carol” or “Jack Frost Saves Christmas” at Derby Dinner Playhouse. Tickets for holiday shows go fast, so don’t delay! Tickets include dinner, show, tax & parking.

Add tickets to Clarksville Little Theatre’s performance of “A Christmas Story” to your holiday wish list. This beloved holiday favorite is on stage from November 10-12 & 17-19.

The IU Southeast Theatre Department presents 12TH NIGHT, a Shakespeare adaptation by Tyler Tate set in the late 90s Y2K era. Performances are November 10-12 and 17-19 in the Robinson Theater at the Ogle Center. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students.

Enjoy cheese, chili, live music, and, of course, wine at the annually anticipated Pop's Reserve Release Party at Huber’s Orchard, Winery & Vineyards! The event is from 6 – 9 p.m. on November 16 at Huber's Plantation Hall.

Ice Skating is back at the Depot in Jeff starting November 17! Jeff on Ice tickets are $12 (plus fees) and go on sale November 2. Tickets include complimentary skate rental. The rink will be open Nov. 17 - Dec. 31.
