November 8, 2025

Dear Friends,

While we were attending to the busy summer season here at Harbin, autumn quietly arrived, stepping in from the shadows to transform the canyon into a kaleidoscope of colors. Trees gently shake off their tired leaves, spinning in the breeze as they fall towards the earth, allowing space for next year's new growth. Last week's rainstorm washed away the summer dust, leaving leaves sparkling with water drops, like diamonds scattered throughout the garden. The scent of pumpkin spice at the café, chilly mornings, longer shadows and shorter days are gentle reminders that winter will soon arrive.

Before the busy holiday season is here, we invite you to take pause, slow down and tune-in to the rhythm of this planetary dance of the seasons. Take time to bask in autumn's golden glow. Set aside technology for a while, enjoy a walk outside, breath in deeply and let Earth do her magic to soothe your mind, body and soul.

WORKSHOP: Return to the Waters A Women’s Retreat for Grief & Reclamation with Virpal Kaur

What happens when we grieve together — not just with our minds, but through the body and voice? What if we could reclaim the parts of ourselves we were taught to abandon — the soft, the wild, the loud, the grieving, the sovereign? Details and registration.

November 24-28

WORKSHOP: The Watsu of the 5 Elements with Georges Amir Künzler

In “The Watsu® of the 5 Elements,” we explore five approaches to engaging the body in water, focusing on how to communicate, encourage, and balance through a gesture dialogue. By using the body’s language, we guide our clients to the depths of their being—a space where they feel understood without words. Details and registration.

December 6-7
WORKSHOP: Embody Flow: Nourish Your Body and Soul
with Anjuli and Alok

In the whirlwind of life, it's easy to forget who we truly are. This retreat is an invitation to slow down, return to your breath, and listen to the wisdom of your body and nature. Through embodied movement, breathwork, chanting, and Thai massage, we'll explore the art of presence - supported by the healing waters and sacred land of Harbin Hot Springs. Details and registration.

Rebuilding Update

The Harbin Restaurant kitchen is now installed, and the ceiling is complete. The interior wall is decorated with gorgeous wood rounds reclaimed from the fire in a display of artistic beauty. And, long- time beloved Harbin artist, Mark "Bubblemeister" Nichols, created a beautiful metalwork railing. The Hotel buildings are also progressing beautifully. The overhang on the roofs of Walnut and Azalea is finished. The 3-story wrap-around porches are under construction.

To learn more about our rebuild, opt-in to our supplemental Fundraising emails by clicking "update preferences" at the very bottom of this newsletter.

See additional construction photos on our website.

We are so grateful we’ve made it this far. But we still need your help! Construction costs increased substantially this year, far above our original budgeted plans. Donations of any size mean the world to us!

This season is filled with opportunities for us all to practice Heart Consciousness in every interaction. Living in Oneness is like a beautifully choreographed dance - reaching out to lend a hand and reaching out when you need a hand. Together, this dance lifts everyone up!

We invite you to practice and explore Heart Consciousness here, with us, during your next visit. Browse the calendar to see what calls to you, or simply find peace as you soak in the springs, enjoy a massage, meditate in the garden and allow nature to soothe your soul. Wherever you happen to be this Autumn, may your season be healthy, comfortable and filled with laughter.

We hope to see you soon!
