Members who have not yet Opted-in and now wish to, will be
agreeing to apply their March dues credit through August 31st.

Social Bubble Doubles

Alameda County in its July 19th updated communication has allowed for Social Bubbles with no more than 12 individuals to be formed for social and outdoor activities. See Page 3 Section 7
An individual from a household of 3 people, who forms a Social Bubble with a friend from a household of 4 people, would effectively have formed a Social Bubble with 7 participants, rather than only 2. Subsequently, the club can allow members to form Social Bubbles to allow for doubles play.

The guidelines are as follows:

  • Any Social Bubble should not exceed 12 individuals (this includes all household members and any additional non-tennis Social Bubbles).

  • More likely than not, only one Social Bubble for doubles may be formed per membership due to the maximum 12 individual limit.

  • Per County rules, these Social Bubbles cannot be changed for 3 weeks at a time.

  • There CANNOT be any substitutions into the doubles foursome as this would violate the Social Bubble.

  • The foursomes may reserve a court for doubles play for 75 or 90 minutes. One member reserves the Court and lists the other 3 members in the Reservation Notes.

  • We are dedicated to following all COVID -19 safety precautions and requirements to create a safe and welcoming environment for staff and members alike.

  • All adult members will be required to sign a waiver prior to being admitted onto a court. If you have not Opted-In yet and choose to begin playing tennis, complete online waiver at least 24 hours prior to your first court time. If you cannot complete the waiver online, you may print it (see waiver at bottom of eblast), sign it and bring it to your first court time. We will have copies to sign at the check in desk if all other options are unavailable to you. Pens will be provided.

Pursuant to the appropriate governmental authorities allowing the Club to open to our members, the Club is implementing measures to reduce the potential spread of COVID-19 amongst its members and its employees. These procedures require that our members agree to be bound by the Club's specific rules and guidelines when using its facilities, services, equipment and programs, even if the Club's rules are more stringent than those ordered by the County Health Department or any other authority.
By signing below, I agree and acknowledge:

1. I agree to follow the Club's rules and guidelines when using its facilities, services, equipment and programs and when interacting with the Club's employees. 4. I agree to immediately notify the Club if, within 14 days of using the Club's facilities, services, equipment or programs, I am diagnosed with or believe I have COVID-19 or any other infectious disease. In such a case, I will cooperate with the Club and/or the authorities to identify all people at the Club with whom I may have come in physical contact and identify all areas in the Club where I was physically present.
5. I acknowledge and fully assume the risk of illness or death related to COVID-19 arising from using the Club's facilities, services, equipment or programs and hereby RELEASE, WAIVE, DISCHARGE, AND COVENANT NOT TO SUE (on behalf of myself, any minor children for whom I have the capacity contract, and any others covered by my membership as stated in paragraph 8 below) the HARBOR BAY CLUB, its officers, directors, agents, employees and assigns (the “RELEASEES”) from any liability related to COVID-19 which might occur as a result from using the Club's facilities, services, equipment or programs or being in contact with its employees. This release includes any and all injuries that may result from exposure to or contraction of COVID-19, including any illness, disability, death and any related loss, claim, liability and expense of any kind.
