New Investee Announcement

SVP Minnesota selected Cookie Cart as our newest investee at Pitch Night on November 30, 2017. Partner Dan Kinsella stepped up to be Lead Partner for the SVP partner consulting team. Thank you, Dan, for your leadership!

SVP Philanthropic Corporate Partner Factory Motor Parts selected Roots  for the Home Team as their investee. Together, skilled employees from Factory Motor Parts and leaders of Roots for the Home Team will identify capacity building goals and plan how to grow their impact on teens.

Both investees  will receive up to $75,000 in grant funds and four times that value in pro-bono professional consulting skills over the next three years.  We are thrilled to launch these relationships to accelerate impact!
Partner Spotlight: Carla Pavone

2017 by the Numbers

Equity Corner

Last fall, SVP Partners and staff worked to articulate our organizational values. Four values emerged: IMPACT, COMMUNITY INNOVATION  and EQUITY . In 2018 we will focus on equity, dive into the principles outlined below and strive to apply an equity lens to all aspects of SVP's work.

We look forward to partnering with you on this journey as we learn what equity means for us and how we deepen our understanding to impact our actions.
Grant Cycle Update

SVP Minnesota launched another grant round! We've received over 20 Letters of Interest from promising Twin Cities nonprofits. Stay tuned as applicants advance through the process.
NerdKind.org

NerdKind.org  is a new website that connects nonprofits in need with technology pros who want to volunteer their skills. NerdKind supports organizations of any size, to tackle technology needs of any kind.  It's created by  The Nerdery Foundation , led by SVP Partner Ginger Sorvari Bucklin, where our mission is to activate technologists to better our world.

  • SVP Partners and Breakthrough Twin Cities (BTC) benefactors, Tracy and Alden Skar, made a unique, yet meaningful contribution to BTC - 478 different kinds of stamps, totaling 31,795 stamps in all! Tracy's late mother collected US postage stamps for over 30 years, dating back to the 1960's. After licking hundreds of stamps for their personal use, the Skars generously donated the remaining collection to BTC. What a story!
