Appetite For Change Receives Re-grant!

SVP Minnesota Investee, Appetite For Change, was awarded a second year grant of $25,000. Aside from the financial grant, SVP partners continue to work with Appetite For Change to help them scale and build capacity in the areas they have jointly identified.

Appetite for Change Co-Founder and Executive Director, Michelle Horovitz noted:  "Social Venture Partners has played a pivotal role in Appetite For Change's growth. They helped us open our Breaking Bread Cafe & Catering, assisted us in winning 2nd place in the MN Cup Social Division Competition, and have facilitated our strategic planning process. They donated farming equipment and even helped us improve our use of the cafe space. We appreciate the support and dedication of all the SVP partners with whom we've engaged."

About Social Venture Partners

Social Venture Partners (SVP) Minnesota  is a  501(c)(3) organization that improves lives by investing   time, talent and capital in  innovative, early stage social ventures directed at under-represented teens in the Twin Cities. SVP Minnesota has provided well over $7 million in pro-bono consulting services and nearly $2 million in cash grants to qualifying Twin Cities nonprofits since 2002. This mix of time, money, and expertise improves impact and sustainability for the nonprofit investees, while building meaningful relationships between SVP partners (both individuals and corporations) and the recipient organizations.

SVP Minnesota is part of a larger, global organization. The SVP Network has 3,500 partners in 39 cities across eight countries. All SVPs follow an engaged, venture philanthropy model that helps nonprofits take their vital work to the next level.
