In The News! First in Buffet Line Raises $2,200
Benefit Bidding strives to find fun and exciting auction items.
In one of our planning meetings with the Midlothian Chamber of
Commerce,
we suggested "First in Buffet Line" as a warm up item for our live auction. To make the item even more desirable and increase audience involvement, we also suggested that the winning bidder would also be allowed pick the table that would be last to pile their plates with the
delicious
spread of food.
When the auction started, the bidding got fast and
furious
between bidders at two
separate
tables. First in Buffet Line ended up selling for $1,100! When the winning table selected who they wanted to go last, they quickly replied that table that's been bidding against us! I quickly turned to the other table and informed them that the winning table wanted them to go last - BUT if they matched the winning bid I would let them go second. They quickly accepted my offer and purchased "Second in Buffet Line" for $1,100. This item, quickly raised $2,200 for the chamber - an item that was no expense for the non-profit.
Selling first in buffet line raised so much excitement that it ended up on the front page of the Midlothian Mirror (see photo above).
Yes, it requires hard work and planning, but we are here to help you raise money for your nonprofit.
