On Thursday, February 29, Lehigh County Agricultural Society (LCAS) hosted a State of the Society briefing breakfast at the MainGate Night Club. The Board of Directors and the staff shared with state, city and county officials who the Society is, what the Society does and why the Society exists.
The breakfast was attended by 60 people including Mayor of Allentown Matt Tuerk, County Executive Phillips Armstrong, two representatives from the offices of Pennsylvania state senators, a representative of congresswoman Susan Wild, several Pennsylvania state representatives, city council members, directors, executive committee members, staff of LCAS along with members of the Allentown Police Department, Allentown Chamber of Commerce and the West End Alliance.
The main goal of the event was to educate decision makers about the Society and to keep the Society paramount in their decision making.
