The Annual Fund Campaign is our primary opportunity for school families to participate in the continued success of our school by helping to bridge the gap left by state and local funding. This fund supports existing educational programs, new curriculum development, improves facilities, and supports essential needs of Socrates Academy.

Socrates Summer Camp Registration is Now Open!
 June 4th is the last day on campus for all scholars.
The following week is reserved for EOG make-ups and an opportunity for scholars to work on summer projects.
Ms. Baker is planning to shower our teachers with love for National Teacher Appreciation Week! Our teachers are working so hard in this final stretch of 4th quarter. Please consider donating items on the SUG. Please drop them off at the middle school by Monday 4pm.
On Tuesday, May 4th, 2021, we invite you to celebrate Wear Star Wars Day. Getting involved is easy. Here’s what you can do: 

  • Wear something Star Wars or Science-Fiction related. 
  • Bring in any Star Wars themed toys to share. 
  • Make sure any weapons stay home.
(Lightsabers can be on belts, but fully closed all day)
  • Come to class ready with your best JEDI, Mandalorian, survivor, villain, etc. 
  • We will be celebrating our inner geek with activities throughout the day per teacher.

We are SO #SocratesProud of Principal Baker! She has been selected to participate in the inaugural NC Practitioners’ Network which focuses on:

  • Leadership for instructional success focused on raising achievement in the areas of reading and math literacy.
  • Leadership for equity focused on equitable instructional access and high expectations for every student while reducing and eliminating disparities in outcomes of student success.
  • Leadership for social and emotional well-being focused on creating an educational environment in which all students, their family members, and school staff can thrive.

Our Leadership is growing both inside AND outside of our campus.

Open Gym practice with Coach Guseman
Monday from 3:45pm-5pm starting May 3rd. Please meet Coach Guseman at the SA Gym with athletic shorts, t shirts and comfortable shoes. Masks are required. Parents may not enter the gym.
 
Boys & Girls Basketball
Open Gym Practice with Coach Tam
Thursday from 3:45pm-5pm starting May 13th. Please meet Coach Tam at the SA Gym with athletic shorts, t shirts, and comfortable shoes. Masks are required. Parents may not enter the gym.
