Please Support Our Annual Fund
The Annual Fund Campaign is our primary opportunity for school families to participate in the continued success of our school by helping to bridge the gap left by state and local funding. This fund supports existing educational programs, new curriculum development, improves facilities, and supports essential needs of Socrates Academy.
  • All students will be required to wear masks. Face shields are permitted ONLY if a mask is worn underneath.
  • All students should have a lanyard with their mask to keep it from falling on the ground.
  • All students will be required to wear uniforms.
  • There will be no hot lunch or counter service.
  • Grades 3rd-8th are permitted to bring a laptop or tablet with them to school each day if their homeroom teacher has requested device use in the classroom
  • We will not have enough devices for all students, as many of our devices have been loaned out to families in need.
NEW! NJHS Counting Stars Mentoring Program

The students of the National Junior Honor Society are offering a new virtual mentoring program this year! The Counting Stars program is all about helping kids feel more comfortable with online school through tutoring and social/emotional support.

Beginning, December 4th, mentors/mentees will meet on Fridays for 30 minutes between 12:00 - 2:00pm. Students will sign onto a zoom that is moderated by an adult and placed in breakout rooms with their mentors.

How to sign up:
If a student would like to join the program, he/she can register using this Student Form.
Home for the holidays and looking for something fun to do as a family? How about entering the NJHS “Virtual” Gingerbread House contest?

Always a popular event school-wide, we have made some small adjustments to keep this event going during our crazy school year!

We hope you will join us - we look forward to seeing your amazing creations.

ARRIVAL:  7:45am - 8:10am | TARDY AFTER:  8:10am
DISMISSAL:  3:00pm - 3:30pm

How to Sign In a Tardy Student
Students who are tardy MUST be checked in by a parent in the Middle School Foyer. The parent MUST stay with the student until they are checked in and screened for entry. The student will have their temperature taken before they will be allowed to attend class. Please note: 3 or more tardies will result in a change in student status to Remote Instruction. NO STUDENTS WILL BE ADMITTED AFTER 9AM.

Carpool Traffic Flow
  • K-2 students will dismiss from the lower lot.
  • 3rd-8th students will dismiss from the upper lot
  • If you have a child in upper AND lower lots, you will need to come through 2 carpools.
  • You may drop off in either lot!
  • Simfield Church Rd is exit ONLY. Do not enter the parking lot from Simfield Church Rd.

Families Without Carpool Tags
If you are picking up without a carpool tag, you will be asked to move out of traffic flow until the end of carpool when your tag can be brought to you. Carpool tag pick up information went out in the Socrates Connection and has been sent through all communication platforms.

Late Pick-Ups
Students waiting on parents who are late will not be sent to Afterschool as was done previously. Late Parents will need to park and walk to the classroom, where the student will be waiting with his/her Homeroom teacher. After 3 late pick ups, students will be asked to move to Remote Instruction.

Masks & Temperature Checks
Please make sure that all occupants in the car are wearing a mask when you stop in the car circle for drop off. Please keep heat low to prevent false temperature readings. Pull to a spot marked by a cone and wait until a staff member opens the door. Do not drop off on your own.
You will be asked three questions by a staff member:
1 . Have you had close contact (within 6 feet for at least 15 minutes) in the last 14 days with someone diagnosed
with COVID-19, or has any health department or health care provider been in contact with you and advised you
to quarantine?
2 . Since you were last at school, have you had any of these symptoms?
               o Fever
               o Chills
o Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
               o New cough
o New loss of taste or smell
3 . Since you were last at school, have you been diagnosed with COVID-19?

If you answer 'Yes' to any of the questions, your student and all other family members cannot come to school. If you answer 'No', the staff member will check your child's temperature. If it is 100.4 or higher, your child and all other family members cannot come to school. If it is close to 100.4 we may ask you to pull to the side parking lot, wait a few minutes, and then we will re-check it.
No Walkers - Morning or Afternoon
In an effort to limit exposure we are not allowing visitors on campus which means students who qualify as walkers by living less than a mile from the school, must be dropped off or picked up during carpool ONLY.

Mid Day Leave-Return
There will be no Mid-Day Leave-Return permitted. Students who have mid-day appointments will need to utilize remote learning on that day.
