On the bright side, the COVID-19
phenomenon has provided many of us with time to paint and be creative.
Here is one of the paintings that Angela Zoni Mault has been working on.
Starting with a rough sketch and establishing dark areas with soft Pastel.
Covering the whole surface with pigment, establishing values.

dding layers of color, letting the initial marks and darks show through.
R
efining areas, adding color, showing distance with smaller marks.
At this point I decided to change the neck and head position of the right swan.
Adding larger marks in the foreground. The finished painting is 9x12.
