Did you take a course or workshop this year? It's time to show off your wonderful work during our semi-annual student show. And what's a show without a party!

Our Studio Soirees are:
Friday, September 7 in Peterborough from 6 pm to 11 pm (as part of the First Friday Art Crawl)
Thursday, September 13 in Port Perry from 6 pm to 9 pm.

Here's what you need to know:
*Bring up to 2 pieces of work, something you created in class or as the result of a class you took at META4.

* Deliver your work to either location between August 27th and September 5th.

*Be sure to label your work with your name
your work must be ready to hang or display. That means a wire on your painting or some kind of mounting board for works on paper

Hope you'll join us!

JULIE BELL: Port Perry
Julie's current work is a culmination of a variety of eclectic experiences and interests, combining a fine arts aesthetic with design sensibilities and a craftsperson's love of materials. Inspiration is taken from multiple sources including natural and industrial landscapes and traditional processes. Handmade & recycled papers, plant materials, fibre, dry pigment, metallic and dyes are manipulated to transform functional glass into unique works of art.

BRAD COPPING: Peterborough
Glass blower Brad Copping works from his home on the edge of the Canadian Shield, near Apsley, Ontario. Part of an area becoming known as the 'land between', it is in this landscape that he has found both muse and foil.    Brad is an award-winning artist whose pieces can be found in the collections of such institutions as Montreal Museum of Fine Arts and Royal Ontario Museum.    The Corning Museum of Glass has also acknowledged his sculpture for its fine artistry.
