Restaurant Resiliency Fund

This program is designed to benefit low income families in need, the homeless, and will help provide additional revenue to small restaurants impacted by COVID-19.

The initial $100,000 in funding is expected to supply 3,200 meals over a 20-week period beginning June of 2021.

Restaurants will be reimbursed $25 for every meal prepared.

Any restaurant in Vallejo or Fairfield that can provide a pre-packaged hot meal is eligible to participate and invited to complete an online interest form.

Wine Service Techniques- June 14th, 1:00-4:00:

The perfect introductory class for both Wineries and Restaurants! Service is much more
than proficiently performing, it is an attitude and your sales will increase with
mastery. Learn the roles and conduct of the tasting room host / sommelier,
mis en place for service shifts, responsible alcohol service and the proper
wine handling mechanics. Standard wine, Champagne, decanting and tray
service will all be demonstrated by the instructor and performed by each
student with an emphasis on safety. Tools, service temperatures, screw caps,
wax sealed bottles and other challenging scenarios will also be discussed.



Restaurant Wine 101, 4 Part Series- June 21st , 22nd, 23rd &

This program is designed for restaurant owners and managers who want to get a better grasp on the beverage program at their restaurant and learn to speak effectively about wine and other beverages with their guests and sell (more) wine at the table . This program created by Master Sommelier David Glancy will impart the artful strategy involved in speaking about wine with your guests, understanding your restaurant's
wine list, offering food & wine pairing experiences, creating sales through service,
delivering value, and moving with confidence.



Tasting Room 101, 4 Part Series-
August 16th, 17th, 18th & 19th, 2:00-4:00 

Join the Norcal SBDC Restaurant Program and the SF Wine School for an overview on your tasting room essentials and best practices. This program is designed for winery owners and managers who want to get a better grasp on their tasting room program at their winery and learn to provide excellent service, speak effectively about wine with their guests and sell (more)wine in the tasting room.
