A new program called Illinois Solar For All (ILSFA), developed by the Illinois Power Agency and administered by Elevate Energy, launched this past May. ILSFA was created under the Future Energy Jobs Act to make the benefits and services of the clean energy economy more accessible to all. In order for ILSFA to be successful, trusted organizations are needed to educate Illinois residents on the basics of solar and the benefits available through the ILSFA program.
We are excited to announce that the Chicago Bungalow Association has been chosen as one of the organizations who will implement grassroots education campaigns to drive participation in Illinois Solar for All and ensure that the benefits of the program reach low-income and environmental justice communities in Chicago.
We will hold educational events starting next month. Look out for those in future emails and on our Seminars & Events calendar. In the meantime, visit the Illinois Solar for All website to learn more about the program and see what you may be eligible for:

Winners of the 3rd Annual Bungalow Garden Contest were announced earlier this month!
First-time gardeners and homeowners, Andrew & Lindsay McKone, won the Front Garden category for replacing facade-covering trees with a low-maintenance garden.
Michelle Weiner won the Rear/Side Garden category for replacing her crumbling garage with an homage to Wrigley Field complete with an ivy-covered outfield wall.
Venus Rodriguez was surprised to win the Window/Planter Boxes category because she didn't even know her husband Juan entered her in the contest!
