Education is the key to communicating how you want to be treated. But you cannot communicate to someone how to respect you if you do not respect yourself. If you don't have the courage of your convictions, the integrity to do what is right, then it is very difficult to respect yourself. When you lie to yourself, deep down you know the truth. It doesn't ever pay to lie to yourself.
