ROTARY CLUB OF MILWAUKEE ANNOUNCES MAJOR DONATION
This month, the Rotary Club of Milwaukee 's (RCM) Board of Directors committed $50,000 from the RCM Community Trust to the Milwaukee VA Soldiers Home restoration project.

"The Rotary Club of Milwaukee is honored to support this transformative project," said JoAnne Anton, President of the Rotary Club of Milwaukee. "Through this redevelopment, the Milwaukee Soldiers Home will provide housing and services to veterans who are most in need and we are proud to be a part of it."
Due to their generous support, later this month, members of the Rotary Club of Milwaukee will be taking a private, hardhat tour of Old Main.

In November, longtime Soldiers Home supporter, David Uihlein, presented to the Rotary Club of Milwaukee and shared details of the effort to return six notable buildings on the Soldiers Home grounds, including the iconic Old Main, to the service of veterans.
FUNDRAISING UPDATE
Last year, a coalition of organizations and volunteers dedicated to saving the Soldiers Home launched a fundraising campaign to raise the remaining $4.25 million needed for the $40 million rehabilitation of six Soldiers Home buildings into a total of 101 supportive housing units for veterans and their families who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.

While we have made great strides, including securing funding from The American Legion, Brewers Community Foundation, Einhorn Family Foundation, Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago, Foley and Lardner, Herb Kohl Charities, Home Depot Foundation, LISC Bring Them HOMES Veterans Initiative, Marcus Corporation Foundation, Milwaukee Housing Trust Fund, Rotary Club of Milwaukee, We Energies Foundation, Woman’s Club of Wisconsin, and through the 100 Extraordinary Women (TM) campaign, the fundraising campaign continues and we need your help to reach the finish line.

We encourage you to donate today to preserve the legacy of the Milwaukee Soldiers Home and ensure it serves veterans for generations to come, because every hero deserves a home.
