The Association often relays messages discouraging residents from engaging in any transactions with door to door solicitors and aggressively seeks to eliminate door to door solicitors from canvassing the community, in compliance with Avenel's no solicitation policy.

It has recently come to our attention that residents are also experiencing contractor solicitation via email.  The Association does not share resident emails with anyone outside of the Association and encourages residents to do the same.

We would like to take this opportunity to again remind residents not to engage in business with contractors who solicit, as it encourages them to continue to do so.  It is always good practice to engage in business with contractors who can supply several solid references.  Please be cautious when being asked to pay in advance.
