What a few weeks it has been! March came and went and now it's hard to believe April is halfway through. Time certainly flies, but I hope you are well and enjoying the fresh air, warmer weather, and longer days leading us into Summer.
April is packed with events, information, and exciting news; however, in the interest of time I will do my best to keep this one short and sweet for you.
First and most importantly, this time of year is filled with questions about taxes, forms, retirement contributions and much more. We want you to know that we are always here to support you the best way that we know how; but, as you can imagine, our days are filled to the brim. With that being said, if you don't hear back from us right away when reaching out, please know we are doing our best to give each and every one of our clients the top one-on-one attention that we pride ourselves on delivering. We promise we will respond as quickly as time allows. Of course, if you have an urgent matter that needs immediate attention, please call us directly at 215-486-8350 so that we can act accordingly. We appreciate your patience and understanding, and value your partnership greatly.
Next, in CURO News: We are shouting a very happy CURO-versary to Melanie Schott, our Director of Financial Services. Melanie has been an integral part of CURO for two years and we are so thankful for all she contributes to our CURO family.
We are also excited to share that May 22nd, 2021 we will be holding our semi-annual shredding event. Come join us outside of our Langhorne office to securely dispose of your outdated financial and personal documents while enjoying a few snacks and supporting one of our favorite local non-profit organizations, Unite For HER. Please continue reading for items Unite For HER is in need of.
Last, but certainly not least, as you may already be aware, the Federal Tax filing deadline has been extended to May 17th, 2021. While many states have adapted their filing deadline to match the Federal extension, be sure to verify before delaying your tax filing and payments due.
Okay okay, you got me; so I didn't keep it as short as I had hoped. There's so much to share with you this month and I want to be sure I cover it all! Below, I've included some additional resources for you that I hope you find helpful as well as enjoy reading.
Until next time! Stay well, stay strong, and remember that we're all in this together.
All the best,
Marianna

Market Commentary:
Solid Month Caps Positive Quarter for Markets
U.S. stock markets saw gains for the month and quarter, but not all stocks did well. Higher interest rates led to some volatility, especially for growth and technology companies. The Nasdaq Composite gained 0.48 percent during March, with the heavy technology weighting dragging down the index’s performance. The S&P 500 and Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) saw stronger results, up by 4.38 percent and 6.78 percent, respectively. On a quarterly basis, the Nasdaq Composite gained 2.95 percent, and the S&P 500 managed a 6.18 percent gain. The DJIA led the way with an 8.29 percent return.

April 22nd is Earth Day, and this year we've planted a CURO tree with the help of Jewish National Fund, as a small token of gratitude for all that this earth provides us.
Some other ways we are reusing, recycling, and conserving:
- Repurposing candle jars as plant pots
- Using eco-friendly, water safe household products
- Creating backyard gardens for fresh herbs and produce
- Saving animal fur after brushing for birds to create nests with
- Using alternate forms of energy
- Supporting small businesses that uphold eco-friendly integrity in the production of their products
