To Our School Communities,
We are pleased to announce that, last evening, the Moravian Academy and Swain School Boards of Trustees each unanimously voted to move forward with our partnership, solidifying a strong foundation for the future of independent schools in the Lehigh Valley. Having completed a comprehensive due diligence process, the two schools will execute a binding memorandum of understanding to formally join our institutions.
Today’s announcement is the beginning of a new chapter that will allow our schools to expand on our current programming and fuel our collective vision. In partnership, our schools will become stronger and the experiences for our students will become more meaningful.
Importantly, Moravian and Swain will continue to operate independently and provide the small-school experiences our families cherish. Our schools share similar missions and values, and we affirm the rich histories, traditions and vibrant communities that make each school unique.
This is a joyous occasion and a monumental moment in our schools’ histories, and when the time is right we will come together to celebrate this incredible milestone. Right now, however, our teams are focused on fall reopening plans to ensure the health and safety of students, faculty, and staff as we prepare for the upcoming school year.
