Sara K. Vogeler, BMC, RSMT, LMT, MFLCTIT in practice over 45 years, offers a unique approach to health by applying "intelligent" massage techniques, "green" nutrition to reduce inflammation, corrective exercise to improve alignment, and natural hormone balancing for strong bones and a better mood.
Sara graduated from NYU in Dance Therapy, trained with Erick Hawkins, and danced and toured abroad with several modern dance companies. She started studying with Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen, O.T., in 1973 and became a Certified Practitioner and Teacher of Body-Mind Centering® in 1983. She studied pre-med at Hunter College, became an ACE-certified personal trainer, an orthopedic exercise specialist, a Myofunctional Therapist in TMJ, a NYS-licensed massage therapist, and an ISMETA-Registered Somatic Movement Therapist. She served as president of the BMCA and ISMETA.
She has enjoyed becoming a Moving for Life: Dance Exercise for Health® Certified Teacher in Training, founded by her colleague Dr. Martha Eddy, who is dedicated to helping older adults and people of any age affected by cancer, through free and low-cost dance exercise classes offered at hospitals, health and wellness centers.
