Hello Everyone!

We have some things for you to pray about. This will be a longer email than usual but a lot of things have happened in the past 2 weeks that we want you to know about. Please read on and pray for these things.

On a previous email in August, we shared this photo asking you to pray for Steve and Reneé as they sold their home, packed up everything they owned and left for Alaska on August 26. Well, when they got to the Canadian border, they were denied entry because they were labelled "unessential travel". Needless to say, they were greatly discouraged. But God was at work to provide for their needs!
One of their friends from Homer, Alaska flew down to Great Falls, Montana and drove their rig to Alaska while Steve and Reneé got a plane ticket to Alaska. A couple days ago their rig arrived and now they are getting settled. CLICK ON THEIR PHOTO ABOVE to visit their Facebook page and hear more. Please PRAY as they start their new life in Alaska. We respect them greatly for this move of faith.
Working at our missions base ...
This week, Carl & Eunice Ginder are working at our missions base. They are working on getting our house ready to rent. They are doing many repairs, purchasing furniture and preparing it for winter. Carl, reported in yesterday with these photos ...
Please PRAY for Carl and Eunice that they will enjoy this time working together. PRAY for them that they find everything we need to get our house ready. And please PRAY that they have safe travels home.
The next challenge ...
The next challenge was for our Driving Team that left for Alaska last Sunday, September 13 (photo below of the leaving). Before they left, our LightShine Alaska leaders had many video meetings and shared concerns for whether or not we should attempt to send our donated truck, John Deere tractor (under the tarp) and many donated tools to Alaska as planned. Our leaders researched and made some phone calls to the Canadian border. They were told that since our truck had Alaska plates that were registered to our physical address, we would have a better chance of getting through the border and into Canada but "it would depend on the agent". Well, when the team arrived at the border, they were also denied entrance.
So, our driving team got a flight to Alaska and left our rig (picture above) in Montana and it is sitting there as you read this.

Here is the plan ...

Next Tuesday, September 29, I am flying to Great Falls, Montana. From there, I will drive our truck to Bellingham, Washington where we have paid reservations for a ferry to take the truck up the Inside Passage (American waters) to Alaska. The ferry is leaving on October 3 so after the truck is safely on the ferry, I will fly to Alaska. The truck arrives on Wednesday, October 7 in Alaska.

Please PRAY for everything to go smoothly and for the LORD to surround me and our rig with His angels as I travel. PRAY that the LORD provides all the needed funding. Being denied entry into Canada has cost LightShine over $5,000. But God is good and in Him we will have the victory!

Blessings to you and your family in Jesus' Name!
