This exciting new class will teach you to make your own unique glass using pot melts and screen melts. You’ll create beautiful swirling color combinations and visual effects with these high temperature techniques.
During the first session, you’ll learn how to select glass for your melts and then you’ll stack and arrange your glass to be melted into two beautiful disks.
In the second session, you’ll learn how to select appealing parts from your two melts. You’ll decide which one should be left intact and which one will be sliced up to become distinctive elements in a 9” square dish. Don’t worry about waste. You’ll also have the option to turn the cut-offs into exclusive jewelry.

We've had countless requests to learn traditional glass painting skills. Our friend, Deborah Ellington has taught glass painting in the past but wanted to add a little something. In this class, you'll learn about "colorizing" your artwork using powdered glass. It's a process that we've never seen before and we're eager to see how she does it.
In addition to adding color, you can also create "reactions" when you mix colors of glass powders. Deborah will take you on an exploration into using glass powders to add color to your traditional Reusche painting skills.
Deborah is one of our favorite and most talented guest artists. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Art Education, a Master of Arts in Painting and a Master of Fine Arts in Ceramics.
During the nearly forty years that she worked at Lone Star College, she
held positions of Art Professor, Department Chair and Instructional Dean in the art program.
Since retirement, she has created a unique art practice by combining her talents and experience with multiple mediums. Of course, glass is one of her favorites!

Toasty Tuesdays is not a class with a teacher; it is open studio time which
requires a high level of independence
from each participant.
You can meet up with your fusing
friends and you'll all benefit from the
exploration.
Working together in the studio is beneficial for all when everyone is both sharing their knowledge and creating their own work. Since there isn’t a teacher, you must have the knowledge needed for the type of project you are making.

There's never rain and cold or sweltering heat at Harmony Stained Glass! The environment is always just right for working on your projects! We have a fabulous work space with sturdy tables and great lighting. Supplies are right at hand, and the company of other glass workers is always rewarding. If you need inspiration to finish your UFOs (Un-Finished Objects), bring them in! Harmony is a good place to get inspired to finish those projects that won't finish themselves.
If you've completed beginning stained glass at Harmony, you can work here for the low-low price of only $5 per hour. Continuous use of our grinders is $10 per hour. After you pay for four hours of shop time, the rest of the day is FREE!

Harmony offers personalized pattern development, custom design services, and glass selection consultations. We can help you realize the vision in your mind and take you from your dream to glass reality! We can create an entirely original design based on your ideas, adapt an existing design to your specifications, combine multiple existing designs or any combination of the above. Creating glass art is an exciting and satisfying process. See how much you enjoy it when you are partnering with Harmony staff to create a unique vision!
Pattern re-design fees are $18 per hour .
Custom design services are individually quoted based on the project.
Glass Selection Consultations are $25 per hour.

These terms apply to all classes at Harmony Stained Glass.
As a courtesy to others, please read and comply with these guidelines.
We require that you buy your class tools and supplies here at Harmony. By doing so, you help ensure that your local stained glass store will be here as a place for fun and learning for many years to come.
1. Your class will start on time. Please be on time and prepared.
2. Please put your phone on silent so that it won't disrupt the class.
3. Payment is required when you register for a class. When you register, we reserve that space and purchase supplies for you. Seven days advance notice is required to cancel. With 7 days notice, you will receive store credit for your tuition. Otherwise tuition is forfeit. Tuition for guest artist classes is not refundable unless we can fill your space. To cover PayPal/credit card fees, a $25 processing fee will apply if a refund is issued.
4. In the event that Harmony cancels a class, you will receive a full refund.
5. Class participants must be at least 13 years of age unless otherwise specified in the class description. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a participating (registered and paid) guardian. No one under 18 is permitted in Adult Recess classes.
6. Participants give permission for Harmony Stained Glass to take and use photographs of their image or artwork.
7. You will be required to wear Safety Glasses (Available for use or purchase) and Wear Closed Toe Shoes.
8. Everyone who is present for a class must be enrolled in that class.
9. If the class is "plus supplies", only supplies purchased AT HARMONY are permitted.
Our primary goal is for you to have a good time!

Harmony is practicing COVID-19 safe procedures per CDC guidelines.
Masks are not required for those who are vaccinated, we will ask you to sanitize your hands upon entry, and class sizes are reduced.
