President's Message
Welcome to 2021 - I hope you all are healthy and well. If you would have told me a year ago that we all would have been quarantined in our homes for the better part of a year, I would have thought you were crazy! When everything shut down in March we were nervous - what would the year look like? Would we be able to raise money without our large fundraisers? Would we be able to bring dogs in need into the rescue and continue to find furever homes for them without hosting Meet and Greets?
If 2020 taught us anything, it was how to adapt. Close to 150 lives were saved, with 32 coming in from overseas. NRGRR, like the rest of the world, learned how to "Zoom" and do "business as usual" in remote settings. Thanks to all of our volunteers, fosters, transporters, donors, board members...we refused to halt, but rather to refocus our energy on how to continue to flourish through the pandemic. We transitioned to virtual home visits, online fundraisers, private meet and greets, etc... and we succeeded!!!
It is hopeful that 2021 will have us returning to some sense of normalcy in the coming months. Until then, we feel confident that the lives of Goldens and golden-hearted dogs will be saved because of all of you - you continue to volunteer your time, donate to our fundraising efforts, and keep NRGRR moving forward.
We are so appreciative of our Golden community and know the best is yet to come!
Tami Radzi
NRGRR Board President
