Mercy continues even in the summer

Thanks to everyone who is conscientious about journaling about the Works of Mercy.  I enjoy reading them.

A parent asked about 'how many?' There is no set amount, and some of the candidates have done a consistent amount since last October. However, if two or three weeks go by without a journal entry from you, I think that is a long time.  There is more than enough to do and journal about!

Summer is a great time to pay attention to the works of mercy. 

You can find ideas on these lists for things to do in your everyday life.
Here are some organized group events for you to take part in:
  • We would love to have you volunteer at Vacation Bible School.  It is great fun and a good leadership opportunity.  You can register to volunteer here.
     
  • Help is needed to change out the monthly psalm sheets in the church on Tuesday, July 2 and Monday, July 29.  Sign up here to help.
     
  • The Produce Mobile will be at St. Emily's on August 8.  Sign up to help here.
     
  • There will be another trip to Feed My Starving Children on August 17. Sign up here.
Besides these special events,  look for other opportunities to help in your family, your school and your neighborhood . Also,  the spiritual works of mercy   are just things that might happen in the course of a day.

Confirmation will be March 15

We have received word that Confirmation will be celebrated on Sunday, March 15 at 2:00 PM.  Bishop Rojas, our Vicar here in Vicariate I, will confirm our candidates.

Put these dates on your family calendar now!  You'll receive more information in the weeks and months to come, but you will have the time set aside.

  • Enrollment mass - Saturday, October 26 at 5:00 PM.
  • Pilgrimage - Wednesday, October 9 .  This is a day that many public school students have off due to the Jewish holidays.
  • Retreat - Saturday, January 11 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM. This retreat is mandatory.
