The August edition of Somernites Cruise is gonna be record breaking with everything from our "Mustang Alley" showcase sponsored by Alton Blakley Ford to our Guinness World Record attempt!!!! Remember all makes and models of show cars are welcome each month!! Make plans now to attend!!

Attention all Mustang Owners!!

Our largest showcase, the "Mustang Alley" Showcase Corral sponsored by Alton Blakley Ford, will be part or our August 27th Somernites Cruise in downtown Somerset, KY!

Bring your convertibles, coupes, Fastbacks, Mach Is, California Specials, Bullitt Editions, Fox Bodies, Saleens and all other awesome Mustangs and be part of this showcase!! Let's show some love for the original Pony Car!! Clubs are welcome and we will try to park you as a group if you come in as a group. Gates will open at 12:00pm (maybe earlier!!) and admission is FREE!

To park in the "Mustang Alley" Showcase at Somernites Cruise on Sat. August 27th here are your directions...

From US 27 (the Strip) if you are traveling north turn RIGHT at light #11. If traveling south, turn LEFT. Take the very next LEFT and then continue on to the Showcase entrance gate. Only Mustangs will be admitted thru this gate on show day.

Cruise the back roads of the Daniel Boone National Forrest with a stop at Cumberland Falls State Park. It's a beautiful drive with 326 curves!!! We leave from the Burnside "Meet & Greet" location at 2pm!

Our August Schedule is:

Friday (August 26th) 10am to 2pm - Burnside "Meet & Greet". We are excited to announce that the City of Burnside has become the Official Host for our "Meet & Greet" on Fridays during Cruise weekends!! The new "Burnside Meet & Greet" is from 10am to 2pm at the Stonebrook Center parking lot (Reno's, Dos Amigo's, etc) located at 6361 S Hwy 27, Burnside, KY 42519. There will be representatives from Burnside Tourism present with information, discounts and other goodies so make plans to attend this event each month!!

Friday (August 26th) 2pm - "Rattlesnake Run". Come join us as we take a back road tour thru the Daniel Boone National Forrest with a stop at Cumberland Falls State Park!! It's a 75 mile loop with 326 curves!! We will leave from the Meet & Greet location.

Friday (August 26th) 5pm to 9 pm – Friday Night Thunder Block Party hosted by the Somerset Mall and Don Franklin Family of Dealerships. Come enjoy live music and hundreds of classic/collector cars and trucks!!

Saturday (August 27th) 8:00am – Fun Run to the London Dragway. $10 per person. Participants can run as many times as you want. Meet at Hardee’s south for a free breakfast between 8am-8:30am.

Saturday (August 27th) 12pm to 6:00pm – It's the Main Event....Somernites Cruise Show and Shine!! Gates normally open at noon for the show downtown but could open earlier once we get everything set up downtown this month!!

Saturday (August 27th) - Guinness World Record Attempt - We will begin staging all world record participants immediately after we give the 2006 Mustang "Ultimate Door Prize" away at 5pm. Details will be given out to participants at the show when you register for the "parade".

Saturday (August 27th) 6pm to??? – “Cruisin’ the Strip” action on US27!
