A Wicked For Good Day of Hope
A Magical Day for Eaton & Palisades Families
| | |
Not even the rain could dim the joy at our Wicked: For Good ReBUILD LA Wildfire Recovery Event! In partnership with NBCUniversal, Amazon, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.®, we brought together survivors from both the Eaton and the Palisades fires for a day filled with surprises, and a whole lot of Oz-inspired fun.
Children laughed their way through activities, families connected with Habitat LA team members, and volunteers wrapped the day in warmth, service, and unity. Guests received brand-new home essentials donated by Amazon, Breville, and Simplehuman, along with delightful Wicked-themed merchandise. Every smile reminded us why this work matters. Restoring Homes, Honoring Heroes
Service Through Safe Home Repair
| |
This Veterans Day, Habitat LA proudly partnered with volunteers from City National Bank, LA Rams, and The Home Depot Foundation to complete essential home repairs for two remarkable veterans as part of our Habitat for Heroes initiative. Over three days, teams came together with one mission: to ensure those who served our country have safe, comfortable homes they can continue to be proud of.
The Norris family home honors the legacy of Marine Corps veteran Larry Luther Norris—beloved husband, father, and community leader. For Navy veteran Donald D. Conley II, home repairs mean more stability as he continues using his business as a hub for mentorship, service, and community.
Both homes received critical improvements, including exterior painting and safety enhancements. This is how we honor our veterans—by showing up and reinforcing the foundation of home and hope.

Where Creativity Meets Impact
Style, sustainability & support
| | |
We’re extending a heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us at the 10th Annual WestEdge Design Fair! As the official nonprofit partner, Habitat LA had the honor of standing alongside more than 150 top design brands and thousands of attendees for a vibrant three-day celebration of creativity, craftsmanship, and community at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica.
This year’s event showcased something truly special: the power of design to make a difference. Our Designer Vignette Auction featured one-of-a-kind spaces created by ten local designers using items sourced from our Habitat LA ReStores. Each vignette was auctioned to benefit our ReBUILD LA Wildfire Relief Fund, helping families recover and rebuild.
Thanks to the generosity of WestEdge, our design partners, and every guest who showed up, we proved that creativity can spark real change. Together, we’re helping families restore stability, reimagine home, and rebuild their futures.

Make Your Gift Count This Season
Four Meaningful Ways to Give Back
| | |
’Tis the season of giving—and every gift to Habitat LA helps build homes, hope, and lasting stability for families. With the tax year ending soon, now is a perfect time to make a meaningful impact while receiving valuable tax benefits.
Here are four powerful ways to give:
• Donor Advised Fund (DAF)
Already contributed to a DAF? A grant to Habitat LA can immediately advance affordable housing in our community.
• Gift of Stock
Donate appreciated securities to receive a deduction for the full market value—while avoiding capital gains tax.
• IRA Rollover
If you’re 70 1/2 or older, you can make a tax-free distribution from your IRA to Habitat LA reducing your taxable income and potentially satisfying your required minimum distribution.
Big or small, every gift builds something real. Together, we’re creating homes—and futures—with heart.
