Dear Friends of the Aiken Library,
I want to update you on the progress of the library renovation and ask you to take one small step to help ensure its success.
The new user friendly front steps are coming along nicely and we are planning a ribbon cutting in less than a month so they are ready to serve our Masters out-of-town visitors.

Last night the Aiken Design Review Board unanimously passed an application by the Friends for the new front elevator and courtyard. We hope to break ground midsummer.

Next week, the SC Legislature finalizes its budget and the Friends are requesting funds to support the elevator.
If you agree that an easily accessible front elevator is critical to the future of the library, please email Senator Tom Young and your legislative representative, (Bill Taylor, Bill Clyburn or Bart Blackwell)
by next Monday.
Please take a few minutes to let them know that you support state funding for the new front elevator.
