TONIGHT!

Song & Story Night is Wednesday, October 29 from 6:30 to 8:30 PM in the sanctuary | Join us for worship, prayer, and powerful stories of how Jesus is changing lives. Song & Story Nights are a chance for kids, students, and adults to share their stories and celebrate God’s work among us. Don’t miss this special evening to gather, worship, and be reminded of God’s power to transform lives. FREE Chick-Fil-A nuggets and fries in the house. See you there!

Join us this Sunday, November 2, at 9 or 10:45 AM or online, for worship and the next message called Renewed by Kindness from Nate Powell, lead pastor, from Ruth 2 and Luke 7:1-17. Ruth finds hope in the kindness of another. Boaz notices the need of this family and responds by offering help and compassion, much like Jesus did for the widow of Nain. Loss is redeemed and given meaning when we look to God to provide.

Time change this weekend! Be sure to set your clocks back one hour on Saturday night so you can be on time for Sunday serving and services. FYI: We will receive communion near the beginning of each service.

For what's just ahead, see below or here...

Last Day to Sign up is Sunday, November 2!

Sign up to Do Good Together on Saturday, November 8: ONE DAY ONLY! Make an impact in our community by teaming up with people to serve at various local organizations. Pick from several options and sign up as an individual, as a family, or get your small group involved. GOAL: We've reached our goal of 100 people! But there's still room for more—invite a friend not associated with a church home and serve together.

Together, we can make a big difference in just a couple of hours. Serve opportunities available for all ages and abilities. SEE ALL THE OPTIONS AND SIGN UP HERE!

Also on November 8: Donation Drop Off

Donation Drop Off to benefit Mission Adelante: one of many options on Saturday, November 8 | Anyone can drop off gently used clothes, household items and furniture from 9 to 11 AM by Fellowship Hall to be sold at Adelante Thrift. Please label bags and boxes for easy sorting.

Brunch Potluck on Sunday, November 9, after each service in Fellowship Hall. Enjoy a morning of good food and great community. Hillcrest provides the main dish; you bring a tasty side to share! Last names A–M: bring something sweet (fruit, yogurt, coffee cake, cinnamon rolls, scones, etc.). Last names N–Z: bring something savory (frittata, quiche, baked oatmeal, quick breads or breakfast salad, etc.)

Congregational Meeting on Sunday, November 16, after each service. After welcoming new members who have committed to follow Jesus and invest in His work at Hillcrest, the members of the church will affirm new leaders who have been identified and called by our Nominating Committee. Please stay in the sanctuary to participate. A sample ballot with more information will be available soon.

TWO NIGHTS | FOUR OPTIONS–PICK TWO! The holidays can be especially difficult if you are experiencing loss, change, or broken relationships. Join us for two nights of encouragement, community, and practical tools to help you navigate the season. All four classes will be offered each night: Divorce Care (Debbie Menez and Nate Powell), Grief Share (Mel Bockelman), Parenting Adult Children (Nate Severson), and Imagine Heaven (Doug Burford). Pick a different one each night. Come as you are and know you don’t have to face the holidays alone. No sign-up needed. Wednesdays, November 12 & 19 from 6:30 to 8 PM. See you there!

We would love your help to make Hillcrest ready for the celebration of the birth of Christ this Advent season. Join us on Tuesday, November 25 from 9:30 AM to noon when we'll deck the Hillcrest halls together! Donate one, two or more hours to put up Christmas trees, place lights, drape garlands, and brighten our spaces. This year we need adults only to help in multiple locations. Sign up here...
