Blue Zones Project Approved
Tuolumne County Health & Human Services Agency, HHSA, (Behavioral Health, Social Services and Public Health)
HHSA strives to create a healthier, happier, more productive workplace. They know that employees with higher levels of well-being are more likely to stay in their positions, perform better and have increased engagement. This may result in better productivity, reduced absenteeism, reduced healthcare costs.
After a year of compiling data, including employees taking the RealAge test, monthly meetings with the Wellbeing Advisory Committee and installing bike racks, designating BZP parking spots (a further walk), designing relaxation rooms-HHSA has become a BZP approved worksite.
On February 21, the HHSA Wellbeing Advisory Committee collaborated with the Blue Zones Project to host the Salus Symposium for their staff. Guest speakers presented including Mark Dyken sharing how to create a practice of care and Laureen Campana, highlighting ways to ‘downshift’, de-stress, relax and restore. It is evident the HHSA leadership team values their staffs and are dedicated to fostering an environment where they can thrive.
