Geoff Boyle Cinematography Workshop Jan 2016 one place left
Geoff Boyle FKBS will be giving a special one day cinematography workshop at VMI on 16 January 2016.
We know Geoff as a no-nonsense Cinematographer who in 30 years of his high end commercials has made a point of saying what he thinks!
VMI has increased its stock of uncoated lenses to now include Zeiss T1.3 Superspeeds. These have the same resolution, optical quality and reliability of the traditional Zeiss T1.3 Superspeeds but with uncoated front elements to create lots of flare when desired.
The OSMO X3 is a fully stabilised handheld 4K camera which actually includes the camera head and is small and light enough that it can be handheld by just one hand. It is now fully accessorised with an iPod viewfinder, bicycle rig, car rig etc, as a comprehensive hire package.
Congratulations Ascension Films for a great entry to win the VMI competition for the creative graphic "lens in a bed" attached.
The judges were unanimous in agreeing that this take first place to win a Christmas Hamper but a special mention too goes to Grammafilm for a worthy entry!

We wish him luck as he is setting up the new Bristol building in Dragon Court.

At VMI, we have championed Anton Bauer batteries on all productions and these are both reliable and dependable.
However, sometimes, a lighter weight solution is preferable and we can now provide a smaller, ligher solution using compact Sony/Hawkwoods BP-U60 batteries but with a custom battery clip with dual standard D-Tap 12V outputs and optional cables to fit all cameras that we stock. They even satisfy IATA air travel constraints!
Our new building in Bristol is nearly ready to move in.
After our first year in Lower Park Row, the new satellite branch has done really well and has already outgrown its current address.
Gary and Kevin have been very busy with the fit-out to the new building in St George, Bristol and the plan is that it will be ready to show off for our New Products Day in early February.
