Sophomores and Parents,
The Office of School and College Counseling recently presented to all 10th-grade Bible classes. Students worked in their Naviance accounts with Mrs. Knapp, learning how to research colleges and careers, and took multiple career and learning-style assessments.
Career Interest Profiler
Students took the Career Interest Profiler assessment and reviewed possible careers/majors that align with their interests and motivators. Your student learned about what the results mean and what might motivate them in any environment.
Review/Compare YouScience results with Naviance results
Every 10th-grade student was encouraged to review their interest survey at the bottom of their YouScience assessment from 9th grade and compare the results with those from Naviance.
College Visits
Visiting colleges in the spring of the sophomore year can be a valuable time to get on campuses and start refining what your student would want in a best-fit school.
Sophomores receive three college visit days.
Please ask your student to share these results with you and encourage them to discuss with their school counselor during their scheduling meeting this winter.
