A message from Governor Liz Glowka:

Happy Holidays, Golden West Region!

It's hard to believe that Thanksgiving is over, and we are on a fast slide through the holidays and to the new year.

The District Fall Meetings ended in Las Cruces, NM, with a colorful celebration of Dia de Las Muertos. Each FM was different and exciting while communicating the same informational message of success and possibilities, all with a personalized connection. It was so nice speaking with the members of all districts. I was incredibly excited to see so many 1st time attendees anxious to grasp the SI mission and explore leadership possibilities. Everyone is doing excellent work to improve the lives of women and girls throughout the region.

I am looking for 2025 Spring Conference Workshop ideas. Please let me know if you have a subject in mind that you want to share. The Spring Conference committee, the Fundraising committee, the board of directors, and many others are working hard for us to have an outstanding conference experience. We need you, our seasoned members, new members, and all of us in between to make suggestions so that we cover your interests and concerns. Now is the time to speak out.

Speaking of the new year, how will you and your club set goals and establish fundraisers and service projects? How can we reach even more women and girls? Are you working with all members to support Soroptimists going forward? Feel free to contact the region board and committees if you have any challenges or are looking for new, fresh ideas.

I wish you all a wonderful holiday season. Please stay safe and healthy and have fun with friends and family.

 -Governor Liz
