A message from Governor Liz Glowka:

Happy October Golden West Region!

Can you believe it’s October already? I can’t. It seems like the Soroptimist year just started, but here we are…It’s Fall Meeting time!

The 2024 Fall Meetings have started with District 3 on September 27-28 followed by District 1, 2, and 4. Governor-elect Pat and I are getting ready for our road trips to each of the districts. We will also be coming with donations from Republic Services. This donation is timely as SIA’s UpliftHER campaign has recently been revealed. During my Fall Meeting Governor Address, I will talk more about UpliftHER and how the Republic Services donation will help launch new projects and enlarge current club projects. UpliftHer provides guidance for clubs to help many women, turn our efforts into Big Goal Accelerator projects, while accessing even more women in need of our Dream programs.

The region has a selection of women’s personal Hygiene products, school supplies, household items, as well as “Dress for Success” clothing, and many other wonderful items. Think about your club needs. I have bags for you to carry them back to your club.

Our district directors, along with their host clubs, have been working very hard on Fall Meetings. They all promise to deliver a fun and educational experience. I look forward to seeing you all in the upcoming weeks.

District 3 Fall Meeting kicked off in the Spotlight!

SI Parker member Cameron Hansen awarded Governor Liz the "Most Unique" Award

SI Parker member Lisa Hammond awarded SI Kingman member Pat Polson the "Sparkle & Shine" Award.

The "Overall" winner for the night was Carol Mandino of SI Arizona Peaks given by Parker co-presidents Lilly & Tracy.

"Best Club Participation" was awarded to SI Lake Havasu by DONA Laurie Moses.
