"A Healthy Outside Starts from the Inside."
-Robert Urich
People from around the world have discussed and philosophized for thousands of years on their connection to something greater than themselves, Gods, the universe, reincarnation, something unseen or "felt," or more than "meets the eye" for this concrete, busy street, tall building, smart phone in hand world we inhabit.
Through our life experiences, we build and form the foundations on our notion of what spirituality is. In many ways, our beliefs, thoughts, and "learned behaviors" passed down from generations before us can drive our everyday reality, judgments, and opinions. Today we live in a fast-paced, on-demand culture that increasingly leans toward materialism, commercialism, and secularism with much F.E.A.R. (False Evidence Appearing Real) and F.O.M.O. (Fear Of Missing Out) on many topics, subjects and issues in life. With so much distraction, drama, and chaos around us, it is very easy to keep the soul nourished, balanced, healthy, and at peace.
The challenge for your spiritual path, awakening, and journey is to stay consistent on a daily basis and use "spiritual tools for your spiritual tool box" on staying connected to something greater than ourselves, while nurturing, feeding, restoring, rejuvenating and reflecting on the energy of your soul.
1. Body Intelligence:
Just as we have mental and emotional intelligence, we often overlook our intelligence through kinesthetic intelligence or having an inspired body that is aware of itself and the relation to all of its parts as well as other bodies and the outside world.
2. Rest and Relaxation:
This is an important and yet often overlooked aspect of physical wellness. Are you getting enough rest and relaxation every single day? How much sleep are you getting? What is the quality of your sleep that you are getting? Being tired, stressed and unbalanced is one of the easiest ways to get off course with your spiritual journey.
3. Diet:
The quality of food, the type of food, the love put into the food, water and daily hydration all contribute to a level of taking in energy, digesting the food, and contributing to your optimal wellness and how you feel overall.
4. Physical Exercise:
These "flesh suits" of ours are designed to move! The incredible benefits of exercise for the physical body are endless and will increase energy, strengthen the immune system, reduce stress, quite the mind, builds strength and confidence and the list goes on and on.
5. Connection with Nature:
Why is connection with nature so important? Because, we ARE nature and our bodies and senses are tuned to natural rhythms. The sights and sounds, the smells and feel of the natural world restore and inspire our bodies and minds in a way that nothing else can!
6. Expression:
Suppression and repression of any emotion or thought over an extended period of time causes dis-ease. Through authentic conscious communication with others, artistic expression; art, music, writing, singing, dancing, acting, along with other practices of emotional release will clear out old energy patterns and allow the body to feel alive, the mind to be in a creative flow of the moment, along with new healthy and peaceful vibrational patterns for your life.
7. Reset Button, The Zero Point, and Meditation:
When a computer is malfunctioning or running slow, most times simply shutting it off and turning it back on to restart in most cases solves the problem, the connection and brings a fresh start. Our physical body, our minds, our spiritual, "etheric" bodies are no different and also needs the reset button from time to time.
8. Tantric and Sexual Energy:
Tantric sex is an ancient Hindu practice that has been going for over 5,000 years, and means 'the weaving and expansion of energy'. Sexual energy is the creative life force of the universe that births everything from human beings, poems, songs, movies, and even amoebas into existence...and it birthed you into existence! Discover how to connect with this life force, and you become "turned on" to life!
