David Wang, DO

|
A nationally regarded expert in the treatment of musculoskeletal pain, and international leader in the growing field of regenerative injection therapy, including Prolotherapy and Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Injection, novel treatments that promote the natural healing of tendon, ligament and joint injuries. He is also skilled in diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound and osteopathic manual medicine.
A gifted teacher, much of his time and expertise is dedicated to training physicians from across the world in regenerative injection therapy during programs at Gulfcoast Ultrasound Institute. These programs provide critically needed medical services to thousands. He has also published clinical training guides on prolotherapy and textbook chapters on musculoskeletal medicine and spine care.
A native of Fairfax, Virginia, Dr. Wang graduated in the top 2% of his class from Fairfax County’s prestigious Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology. He attended Virginia Tech and graduated summa cum laude as a Commonwealth Scholar with Bachelor of Science degrees in both Biology and “Human Nutrition, Foods and Exercise.” He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from The West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine, where he received the Student D.O. of the Year Award and was selected as a teaching Fellow in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine. Dr. Wang completed his residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Harvard Medical School/Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, during which time he was appointed Chief Resident.
