Chapter President's Message

We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season. We got Care Packages off to the troops, and we ended the year on a positive note as we did some fundraising that helped our troops and Veterans at the same time.

Let's look forward to 2026 with more of the same. Thanks to all who contributed their time and resources to help us reach our goals. We look forward to seeing old friends and making new ones.

As 2026 marks our 22nd year, Kathleen has done a remarkable job of capturing our photos that show 20+ years of fundraising and reaching out to our community.

Here is our year 2025 in review to remember all of the good things and people we met and enjoyed.

Thank you to the Veterans Chorus for letting us be a part of their holiday concert.

Valentines for the Troops

We are approaching Valentine's Day and would like to send out valentines to our local military units that we support, as well as those still in service overseas. If you know a teacher or a group that would like us to include valentines this year, please let us know at bluestarmomssb@yahoo.com.

We will be sending them out by February 7th

Charitable Donations

Thank you to our supporters for their gracious contributions this past year. Every one of them helps us complete our goals of getting our Care Packages to those deployed overseas and helping our local Veterans with their specific needs. As we are a non-profit, we can give you a letter with our tax id on it to help you with your tax filings. Please contact Donna Zolezzi at bluestarmomssb@yahoo.com for more details on how to send and receive the proper documentation.

Four Chaplains Ceremony - Saturday February 7th, 10am-11am at St. Frances Cabrini Church

We will participate in the ceremony and ask all of you to come and watch or be part of the posting of the colors.

SAVE THE DATE - Savers Fundraiser

We are looking for our next fundraiser to be at the end of February. We will advise when we have a confirmation of the date and time. Start cleaning out those closets and garages and save them for this fundraiser.

From the Past - Quilts of Valor

We had a chance to award two Quilts of Valor to the husband/wife team of retired Colonel Paul Reynolds and Jeanne Lang (Ret. Lt. Col.)

Paul, a graduate of West Point and DOD Medical School spent 26 years in the Army here in the US and in Europe and Korea. Jeanne served 20 years in the Army flying helicopters as well as teaching Military Science at University of Texas (El Paso) while raising two children and being married to an army doctor. We are proud to give them these quilts to thank them for their service, Well done!
