Students Visit Germany as Part of
GAPP Exchange Program
In July an enthusiastic group of 12 Saint Joseph and Adams High School students spent two and a half weeks with host families in Deggendorf, Bavaria, Germany. They were accompanied by German language and Biology teacher, Mrs. Connie Langheinrich, as well as Mr. and Mrs. Ben and MaryKay Davidson from Saint Joe.

The German American Partnership Program (GAPP) is part of the Goethe-Institut, which was founded in Munich post-World War II to promote German language and culture. Our students stayed in the homes of German students that came to South Bend in September, 2018. The homestay fosters immersion with family, food, and fun; it also helps keep the overall cost lower than other programs.

The GAPP exchange repeats every two years. To take advantage of this unforgettable opportunity consider hosting a German student next September! There is no German language requirement to participate. For more information, contact Mrs. Connie Langheinrich or Mrs. MaryKay Davidson .
