TO PREPARE YOU FOR WORSHIP
WEEKEND MESSAGE
It sounds like a bad joke: what do camels, eyes of needles and a rich man have to do with eternal life? Jesus doesn't mess around, he gets right to the heart of things by challenging us on our relationship to money and possessions. He does promise a reward...but it may not seem like one in the moment.  God of creation, You challenge us to see You in our relationships to our money and things. Prepare us to receive this challenge with grace. In Jesus' name, Amen.
WEEKEND MUSIC
What is "Kyrie"? (Kee-ree-ay) is an ancient old testament sung prayer. "Kyrie Eleison" is Greek for "Lord, have mercy". Often a "Kyrie" is sung by repeating phrases of Lord, have mercy and Christ, have mercy; the prayers held in the quiet of our hearts. Our Lenten liturgy sets out specific chanted prayers and we respond, Lord, have mercy. Take a moment as we enter worship to dwell on the prayers you hold. May we see God's mercy at work.

WHAT IS THRIVENT ACTION TEAM?
Thrivent is a not-for-profit financial organization that was formed by Lutherans. It originated as Lutheran Brotherhood and AAL and is committed to supporting congregations and other causes that matter to its members. If you have Thrivent life insurance or investments (or had them from Lutheran Brotherhood or AAL) you may have an action team -- that gives you a $250 grant to support various activities at church, mission trips, camp, and more! Let Julie Slifka know if you'd like some ideas for how to use your action team at GLC- - we have been using approximately 10 grants each year.

CONNECTING TO COMMUNITY RESOURCES
We learned from our recent survey that we want to support the emotional wellbeing of our teens and their families. One of the ways we can accomplish this is by providing access to the available resources in our community. It's Eating Disorders Awareness Month . If someone in your family is struggling with an eating disorder, please click on TriCity Family Services to learn about their Family-Based Treatment for Eating Disorders program.
Spring Ahead!
Turn your clocks ahead on Sunday, March 8 at 2:00 a.m. You don't want to miss Sunday services!
