Join the Green Business Community!

Learn practical, cost-effective strategies to improve energy efficiency, water

conservation, and waste reduction for your business! SBCCOG staff are meeting

with businesses to provide resources and guidance to support the implementation of sustainable strategies. This work can lead to certification through the California Green Business Network (CAGBN), which provides resources and technical assistance to California businesses. Learn more about the CAGBN.

Small- to medium-sized businesses in the following cities can participate: Carson, El Segundo, Gardena, Hawthorne, Hermosa Beach, Inglewood, Lawndale, Lomita, Manhattan Beach, Palos Verdes Estates, Rancho Palos Verdes, Redondo Beach, Rolling Hills Estates and Torrance.

Take Advantage of West Basin's

Grass Replacement Rebates

NOW is the time to replace non-essential grass with water-wise landscapes BEFORE the 2028 California ban on commercial irrigation of non-functional grass with drinking water goes into effect.

Take advantage of this rebate starting at $3 per square foot for public agencies/businesses and at $2 per sq. ft. for commercial, industrial, institutional and HOAs.

Expanded resources for public agencies and businesses include larger project sizes, free landscape design valued at up to $5,000 to envision a new landscape, and rebate application assistance to help secure necessary funding for the project.

with SoCalGas Programs

Learn about the third-party programs SoCalGas offers to help its customers use energy more efficiently. An example of a commercial program is the Commercial Strategic Energy Management (SEM) Program. SEM focuses on people, not just projects and equipment. The SEM team motivates employees at a participant’s facility to bring about energy-efficient changes with the goal of leading to long-lasting energy savings. The SEM program also helps with improvement of operational efficiency, potential energy savings, rebates, and incentives.

The Business Energy Advisor (BEA) Program connects participating businesses with a dedicated energy expert who serves as a single point of contact—guiding you through available services, coordinating support across SoCalREN’s commercial programs, and helping you make informed energy decisions.

By offering personalized, in-community support, the program reduces barriers to energy efficiency and connects businesses with the tools and resources they need to save energy and lower utility bills.

The BEA Program aims to:

Expand access to energy efficiency
Increase participation in commercial energy efficiency programs
