SCE Files Plan to Expand Its Electric Vehicle Charging Program
|
Southern California Edison (SCE) filed a plan with the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) to expand its
Charge Ready program to support the installation of 48,000 more electric vehicle (EV) charging ports throughout SCE's service territory. The proposed $760 million, four-year-long program is just the next step in SCE's vision for a
clean energy future.
SCE is also launching a number of other approved Charge Ready-branded pilots and programs that support
medium-and heavy-duty trucks, transit buses,
port equipment, and other industrial vehicles, as well as public and
home-based charging for cars.

Get Ready for Metropolitan Water District's (MWD) Landscape Transformation Program that Promotes Outdoor Water Savings
|
Beginning on July 1st, MWD is bringing back the Turf Removal Program for Commercial and Public Agencies. MWD made a huge mark on the landscape of Southern California with the turf removal rebate during the five-year drought and hopes to build on that momentum through the new rebate. During the drought, MWD's turf removal rebate spurred the removal of 160 million square feet of grass across Southern California - both residential and commercial/public agencies - that was expected to annually save 21,600 acre-feet of water, or enough to serve approximately 64,000 households. Some of the commercial/public agency program requirements include a maximum of 10,000 square feet of turf per site and all existing turf areas are eligible. Program recommendations include installation of a smart controller and a preparation of a recommended plant list. Pre-inspection and post-inspection of landscape area are part of the process. For additional information, be sure to visit
www.socalwatersmart.com/commercial after July 1st. The rebate is also coming back for residential customers. Visit
www.socalwatersmart.com/residential for more information.
